Welcome to Hindustan Art (hindustanart.com). These terms cover use of this site and purchases of paintings and handicrafts from our India shop. Payments are processed by PayU. This is plain-language shop policy — not legal advice.

Who we are

Hindustan Art sells Indian art and crafts online. Billing city: Cuttack, Odisha 753012, India. Contact: Contact Us. We do not claim a GSTIN on this site. Prices are in INR as shown at checkout or as agreed for wholesale.

Orders and PayU

An order is an offer to buy. Card, UPI, and related payments are taken on PayU’s secure page; we do not store full card details on this site. We confirm when PayU payment is received and the piece is available. We may decline or cancel if stock is gone, payment fails, or we cannot ship safely. If we cancel after payment, we refund via the original PayU method.

Bulk / advance payments

For wholesale or bulk orders, you may pay an agreed advance via our variable-amount PayU customer link (see Bulk Order Advance Payment). Enter the agreed amount yourself on PayU and include an order reference in purpose/notes if asked. Advances are non-refundable except if Hindustan Art cancels — see the Refund Policy.

Products

Handmade and painted pieces vary slightly in colour, texture, and finish. Photos are a guide; small differences are normal. Custom work follows the brief you approve; once work has started, those pieces are generally not cancellable except as in the Refund Policy.

Shipping and risk

We pack for India transit. Dispatch and transit times are estimates. Risk passes on delivery to the address you give, unless the carrier notes damage. Report damage promptly with photos. See Shipping.

Returns and chargebacks

Returns for damage or misdescription follow our Refund Policy (typically within 7 days of delivery, with photos). Please contact us before raising a chargeback so we can help. Unwarranted chargebacks may affect fulfilment of open orders.

Your use of the site

Keep login details private. Do not misuse the site (fraud, scraping, abuse). Content and product images belong to Hindustan Art or our makers unless marked otherwise; do not reuse them commercially without permission.

Liability

To the extent allowed by Indian consumer law, we are not liable for indirect loss (lost profit, delay beyond our control, carrier failures after proper packing). Our responsibility for a defective or wrong item is limited to repair, replacement, or refund under the Refund Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Cuttack, Odisha (or other competent courts in India) shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
